FILM REVIEW

V FOR VENDETTA

This should be shown to every government official. This movie is so deep and obvious at the same time. It shows simplicity and complexity. I love this tagline: "People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people." The script is marvelous and the set is incredible. WATCH IT!!!!! 5 stars outta 5.
THE GODFATHER...

OOOH!!!!! This movie is one of the best ever made! Its from a book by Mario Puzo. It's a classic and has been a basis for a lot of Mafia and Ocean's 11-13 type movies. It depicts an Italian family rich and powerful and the deals they make. The acting is superb and the cinematography is extraordinary... Hmm... what adjectives can I still use???? Hmmm..... You have to watch this film!!!!!!! It's gonna rock your socks off... It's so well made and it's a smart movie... Not like Napoleon Dynamite or Pretty in Pink. This you'll really learn something out of. I give it 6 out of 5 stars!!! (Its sequel isn't that great, though)
LETTERS FROM IWO JIMA...

It made me cry. I think that's enough said. It's a tear jerking, gut wrenching, heart tearing movie. I muffled my cries. That's how bad it was. Clint Eastwood deserves a Flying Ovation!!!! Yes. A flying ovation. My eyes swelled up for a week whenever I talked about it. It really evokes true human emotion. You can somehow relate even though you've never been in an actual war.
5 Stars outta 5.

DONT YOU JUST LOVE SMART MOVIES!?!?!?!?!

I DO :)

Ciao...

20 Things I Want to Say to People

This was actually ripped off from my cousin's blog... Anyway... I get to say stuff in Tagalog this time... "People" are not specified

1. I didn't know you're a bigger jerk than you seem.
2. Wake up and smell the coffee... I am not cool with you.
3. For one second, can you stop acting like a preppy cheerleader??? It makes me sick to my stomach.
4. I so want to put your head in a meat grinder.
5. All I hear is Blah blah blah
6. I deserve better than you... :(
7. To one certain guy: You wanna go to prom with me??? (I do not have the guts to tell him)
8. You changed. Big time.
9. Wanna go for coffee? :) (OOOH... goosebumps)
10. Are your middle names stupid and naive?
11. Me wanna be your friend... I don't care even if people secretly hate you...
12. Pick Me!!! (To a certain admissions officer)
13. Of course I'd go with you... (hihihi... actual scene did not go this smoothly... :( )
14. You are full of crap.
15. You're smart and I know you can do it!!!
16. Please... Shout. (To a certain silent person)
17. Can I please wear flip flops to school????
18. I wanna tell you my secrets but you're just a big blabber mouth
19. YOU are my best friend
20. HA-HA! (Like the one Nelson does in The Simpsons)

*Steven Strait/ Josh Hartnett, if you're reading this- Yes I'll marry you... hahaha

*Jam... no you can't go to the GYM

*Lexi... MUSHROOMS!!!!!!!

*JD... Haha... I saw you somewhere

*Patrick... You still look messed up... don't do what you do anymore (not drugs)

*Karol... I'm so happy for you... hahaha

Ciao...

Thoughts of an exothermic mind

I am so gonna explode!!!!! I hate mediocrity, superficiality and nonsensical girl insecurities. Well, instead of ranting about how suck-y this year is, (except for prom, clique and a new friend whom I thought to be a tough piece of work) I will release tension in a little thing I'd like to call...

Me Hatin on Other People's Business (Don't worry, this is all political and Hollywood talk)

1. The moronic Philippine government

Don't get me wrong, I love my country (coz its so pretty) but I hate the people in it or at least running it. Our government has gone beyond moronic, idiotic and pathetic. It has now entered a new zone called hilarious. Yes ladies and gentlemen, HILARIOUS. Frickin tuna sandwich on a curling iron. This is just too stupid to make up. Even Mario Puzo would have to go through 11 hurricanes and 200 piercings to invent this kind of material. The people running the show are clearly corrupt and conceited. Not to mention showy, satirical and even almost over-the-top showbiz. First the scandalously patched up ZTE deal (what the hell happened to that????) then the Glorietta bombings (again, what the hell happened to that???????). GOD!!!! It'll only be a matter of time 'til I hear of another controversy. Oh wait! Now I remember, the stupid airport thing!!!!!!!!!!!!! The one about us ranking with Bangladesh... WTH!?!?!?! Props to my peeps in Bangladesh and all. I love you guys over there and no offence meant but what the heck is wrong with the frickin country called the Philippines?????????? (Trying to keep my language reader-friendly.. and as you can see it is sooper hard for me to do so... so please bear with me :D) Aren't we called the Pearl of the Orient??? Oh yeah, I guess you can find fake ones in Divisoria... Maybe that's the kind of pearls we are... Sorry, you are (Reader... excluding you... Since you are reading this article and probably nodding your head at the same time... You might just be a decent person).

Next, I'd have to blame the stupid citizens (not all) who voted for these people and who don't have the guts to fight the system and run themselves. This is a DEMOCRACY... This is a REPUBLIC!!!!!!!!!! GOD!!!!! We aren't inbreds or anything.... Piece of crud.... You complain and do nothing about it... Perhaps you could say the same thing to me but I'm only 15 years old. The best thing I could do is make people aware... (a.k.a. this blog) But you adults (not all!) have the right of suffrage... SUFFRAGE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!!

Okay, don't vote, sell your vote or vote just for the sake of fun... see if I care... In a few years' time, your grandkids are going to suffer...

I hate ignorant people... They are the scum beneath the scum which is the people above. Ignorant people come in different forms- the people who simply are stoic, people who don't want to deal with things, and people who think they better worry about themselves.... The breeds of which take form in rich people who invest in the government and have secret dealings with them under the table and the middle class, who might be the most powerful class of all, seeing that the rich and the ultra-rich are too few and the poor are not as blessed in educational opportunities. Thanks a lot for the ignorance!!!! It is because of you that we are consistent in failing to meet global standards and for making the daily wage impossibly livable.

What if the Koreans ran for presidency??? Hmm.... Eh, just a thought
What if Eddie Gil won as president???
What if we actually listened to our Filipino teachers talking about Noli Me Tangere during class???

I say, we go for communism... It worked for China...

Or perhaps a monarchial society... Works for Brunei

How bout Parliament??? Did the job in Britain...

Or just let Ms. Teenage Propaganda sit in the golden throne??? THE BEST IDEA

Then I could just whip all your asses into shape...

2. What is up with the oil!?!?!?!?

I thought we're suppose to be Homo Sapien Sapiens????? Whatever happened to renewable energy and all that jazz???? Are we to ride our bikes to school to save for rising gas prices?????
Oh, for heavens sake the stupid politicking must stop!!!!! If we all want to survive this world....

Perhaps the most drastic thing would be drilling in the Spratlys or in Russia...

3. Me and my stupid emotions

Okay, maybe my emotions are not stupid but I just feel so alone!!!! Haha... kidding... I have been in emotional rollercoasters lately and believe me, they are NOT fun...

4. Britney

All you need is the first name coz you know which one I'm talking about... She had gone awol!!! She is on crack, heroin, LSD, mj's, mushrooms and every other drug known to the world... (Is she on steroids as well???) Poor lil Miss Louisiana. She was Ms. Perfect now she's Ms. Cuckoo... Good thing the kids are with the Fed.

PRAY FOR ME AND AJSS!!!

5. MUNA

I wanna go to MUNA!!!! I WANNA GO!!!! Ms. please let me go... I remember everything so vividly...

Kristoffer Munden: That is in order, please proceed...
Henry Sackville Hamilton: Chair. point of personal privilege?

SEE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I even remember a conversation about SEYCHELLES between Kris and Maria

THAT's all for now... I don't feel stressed no more... CIAO!!!!

ART AS MEDIA

1. Define Propaganda
- Propaganda, simply put, is the manipulation of public opinion. It is generally carried out through media that is capable of reaching a large amount of people and effectively persuading them for or against a cause.

2. Define Popular Literature
-
Popular literature is written by journalists, who are employed by the magazine for which they write. Journalists cover news and current events in a field, write profiles of people, places, or events, and express political opinions. [In contrary to Scholarly Literature which is written by experts in their field]

3. React on Discrimination in Media

- We all know that the media is a big force of influence and therefore has a huge responsibility in safeguarding the people's interest. What is actually happening is the opposite. What I see from everything shown from TV, is that media is two-faced. One channel would promote unity and equality and the other would show stereotypes. This is what's sad... That's why bad things happen to us, why there's killing, condemnation and other things.

Good
- Oprah
- Rachel Ray
- Ellen
- Tyra Show

Bad
- Late night shows
- SNL
-Mad TV
- Simpsons
- Bring it On
- Not another teenage movie
- Jerry Springer
- Lizzie Mcguire (Why are there only 3 af-am characters???)

SEEE??!??!!?! I just did a test... In 30 secs., I typed every show I could think off that was either helpful or contributed to schism. It just goes to show how messed up society is. SO if you see whites getting higher salaries and better jobs, if you see a lot of latinas and filipinos doing low-class work, and if you see another white president in the USA, don't even bother with acting shocked. I guess you won't even flinch. It just means that what is out of normal in humanity's basic principles has gone awry. What should be taboo is normal. Shouldn't we be afraid???? We ourselves want to stop the division but why cant we do something about it? AND SOON!!!! [Starting with information dissemination through the media].... Or else we are in deep shit-ake mushrooms.... (NOOO!!!!!!!)

Hellz Yeah!

Hellz Yeah!

FuNnY!

I was just going over my blog. I gotta say, It's kinda funny when someone reads her own thoughts...
