The Cat's Outta The Gucci Bag ;)

2008. It was the best of times; it was the worst of times.

That pretty much sums it up. This was the year I went out of depression, I got into AJSS, I almost broke down then got back up again, I secretly cried my troubles away, I learned the art of profanities (O_o), I lost the art of profanities (thank God), I opened up to a teacher, I got support, I was deprived of support, I found peace, I found stress, I got what I wanted for Christmas, I lost a few pounds, I gained the weight back.... Ultimately, it was a roller coaster ride.... (Binkee.... "Sleepless nights!..." Hahaha... ewwwww)

I just got back from a trip out of town. My brother told his classmates we were in Australia... (haha... you wish, man!) We were at the hotel, riding the elevator (riding=playing) and we "met" all sorts of people... (meaning white.) There was this old rotund (speaking in a politically correct manner) chap (p.c. manner again hahaha....) he was singing in the elevator in a high pitched voice.... Then there was this girl, a yankee (hahahahahahahaha.... p.c. again) she just sounded sooooo, foreign... Y'know those Americans who sound soooo American? (don't get me wrong! Their accents are cute... It's just that sometimes you just can't comprehend the words that are coming outta their mouths) Okay so anyway....

Oh yeah! And this was the year that my palate suddenly became soooo picky! It started with Cibo (already a long time ago) and Italianni's (a long time ago too). I thought they were just ordinary restaurants (until my mom gave me the un-guilt-free pleasure of going over the bill to check if the food stuff's correct). Little did we know, it wasn't sooo ordinary. Well, at least compared to Jollibee and what not. Then this year, (our parents held this back from us coz I think they know that if we knew how food tasted here, we'd dine there everytime we go to a mall with one) we met Cyma.

Let me count the ways how I love Cyma: Salads, Pasta, LAMB!..... Everything just comes out and shouts OPA! Hahahahha.... My brother and I were sooo scared the first time we came. It was soooo unexpected... the screaming and the flames and all that crap.

So after those things, we got to do rounds in High Street. My cousin's a chef, so is his girlfriend.... To make the long story short, all the food just went down and suddenly, we didn't want KFC no more.

The Madison Grill!!!! (love!!!) and Sonja's!!!!!!

I wanna try eating at Florabel Co's resto. O_O And prolly eat at Cuillere and Chelsea as well.

And after a pretty looooong time, we finally got a working camera. I, in a huge way, am not vain. I thuper duper love taking pictures though! So there. And umm... yup. there.

2008 also brought me cool stuff! Like competitions and all that crap. Oh and there was AJSS. First day was totally awkward. And pathetic might I say. Everyone looked soooo hahaha.... I was laughing inside. I saw people I knew from previous stuff like Aileen (who was the scary lookin' Chinese girl from MTAP and JME, who always won.... I was soooo scared and intimidated! hahaha....) and Krystella (my stalker whom I saw from UA&P and..... And I don't think you care, do ya? Hahaha... sorry) Plus, I met all kinds of cool people! I learned that you gotta set 3 free.... That Socrates was, is and will always be the real shizzle.... And I learned that when in doubt, check Josh's paper for the correct answer in the Physics experiments.

Super thankful about the ASEAN scholarship. I'll never forget the Indian guy who gave our tests. The thuper cranky Singaporean who always said QUIIIIEEEEEET. Meeting Karla and Erv at the lobby of Trader's. Dude... I was soooo stoked.

I'll never forget the kind of person you guys turned me into. (Rajie, RA, DJ O_O)

Oh and umm the Economics thing where I saw Corr, Aisen and yup there.

And the bonfire!!!!! Hahaha... saw my "friends" (Kief! Dave! Celine! Marco! shout out!) and my other friends who weren't exactly there coz they were Ateneans (You know who you guys are... lmao!) and my semi-Atenean friends.... Hahaha... less than three!

I'll never forget the real friends I found during the camping... How much I just love my patrol... almost all at least. Just coz they're sooo damn normal, fun and un-retarded. Plus Lorraine... hahaha.... And my real friends... Ayena, Xye, Onse..... (Seriously... we gots to change the friggin name, man)

Mmmmhmmmm.... Onse, who's going to Bora WITHOUT me :(

I won't ever forget my senior year, the first 3 quarters at least. Which by the way I hate... stress of having to deal with the drama in school.

I seriously won't forget this one seminar. Karen was sitting beside WYC!!!!!!!!! (:(() And umm the Ateneans (after the Miriamites presented) said Go Katipunan! Then said (After us) Go Commonwealth! (SQUATTERRRRRR!!!!!! Hahaha.... Oh yeah! And I won't forget Kat B lmao... for giving me squatter)

I won't forget how I released all the pain, hurt and suffering in my heart (yuck, emo. hahaha....)

I'm so thankful that my family is the one I have... not a bunch of cro-magnons and what not. And the fact that they're cool and civilized. And morally upright. Hahaha... That they made me this way.

Check out yesterday's Philippine Star.... my letter got published in the opinions column! Thank you sir Bondoc! Anyway... Thank God it there were some parts cut or else I would've been assassinated or what not...

Teachers have come up to me and asked if I was stressed an all that. Is it that obvious???? Okay, maybe I guess it kinda is. The fact that I've been running a circus called life must be taking its toll on me. Let me see....

First there was the Profile photoshoot. I admit that was probably THE most stressful week ever... (Then there was drama involved pa!!!! Remember.... Zen-ificaiton...) I missed a week of classes. I haven't even made up for the missed classes and quizzes yet. (Someone was blaming me pa and sh*t)

Anyway.... Then there were the rumors going around some 20 feet away.. (Oh yeah, I know about them... haha) Good thing I've got friends over there...

And then there was the Fairboard stuff. Which! I thought the fairboard was heading! I guess not... Boy, do I feel like Sandoval/Macaraig and all those other people in El Fili doing some crud...

Then there wer the projects pa pala... All piling up on me :( Sooooo confusing and stressing... All those things piling up on me...

Then there was this disappointing thing only Binkee and Inna know about... Please don't tell anyone... What I said was out-of-line na on my part... hahaha

Investigatory Project's also killing me.... solar-cookers suck!

I gotta do this speech again for this oratorical thing...

The cherry to top it all off.... I wasn't able to watch Twilight... :((

OVER-ALL... my life is a mess...

I was in Makati Med the other day with my family...

We went inside the elevator (the one with mirrors on all sides)...

I was wearing a pair of pants, a tank and an Ateneo jacket zipped all the way up...

Then we stopped at the third floor...

Two guys went in...

We were all laughing so hard!... (even the strangers that were in the elevator too)

One of the two guys was wearing a La Salle jacket also zipped up...

We were standing pa side by side...

He looked all serious and stuff :P

I couldn't stop laughing :))

I am soooo annoyed... for those of you who know about Bailey... ;)

So anyway... I gave her up. I gave her up right after the day I told myself I'd accept her. This is getting too frustrating. This morning, I felt soooo bad and wrong after giving her up. It didn't exactly get any better after that.

I stared, moped and whined today. She said that since I did get Bailey, she'd buy me lots of stuff... Being the obsessive shopper that I am, I was sooooo excited. He told me he'd get me a new laptop coz of Bailey. And he'd "get me a ride" everytime we had our break.

Then I computed how much Bailey was gonna cost me. The first year alone would cost me four years in Ateneo. Which, I apparently screwed up. I was sooo sure that I'd go for Bailey.

Plus, I forgot about signing up for the SATs...

I'm sooo mad at myself and at "them" for allowing this to happen. If only I applied two years earlier or even last year, I wouldn't feel so guilty about dropping a cent. God!!!!! It feels as if I'm gonna regret this til God knows when.

I'm supposed to ride on that plane. I'm supposed to wear the stupid pinafores. I'm supposed to do lots of things. Why do I have to be soooo goddamn 'noble' naman kasi????????????? (Okay, if you don't know what I'm talking about, that would sound soooo weird)

Bailey. Dude. Once in a lifetime. I don't even know if I'm ever going to get in again for the college ones. Dammit! This sucks... big time.... Bailey was supposed to be mine!!!!

I reconciled already with the time and friends factors. I was okay with leaving and stuff... But this had to frickin blow up in my effin face..... (Okay, too many feelings there)

During the ACET, I was even soooo laid back and stuff... I didn't care about Merit Scholarship anymore.

I wish I could just magically find **** * ******* bucks in my dresser... then it would be easier...

Now, I think I'm coming across as grumpy and irritated around them. I don't want them to know that they were the ones holding me back. They wouldn't want me to not get Bailey coz of that.

He even told me that if I continued Bailey wherever Bailey was, he'd work and stuff... like really really work just so... Plus... someone else had to have the waterworks pa kasi eh!

I'm gonna regret this decision for the rest of my life.

I know it... I just do.

The hardest part is looking at them and not giving the slightest hint that I stayed coz of them.

Umm soooo... okay... our weekly staple is dining out in fancy restaurants... And don't get up on my face just yet... We do that coz we rarely see each other anymore. Me and my family (identify the error!) love hanging out saturday nights coz that's the time all the dirt and stuff comes out. So there... Anyway... I just want to share what happened during the awesome weekend... :)

Oh... the week before, we ate in The Madison Grill... its at the top floor of Trinoma... (i am sick and tired of that mall O_o) I really wanted to see Naf... I just thought it would be kinda cool... and umm Naf, if you're reading this... maybe see you-know-who.... :)) We got a super bargain dinner! It was sooo cheap for what we got... anyway so for a dinner under 3k, we got (uber big servings!!!!!!!) ribs, pasta, pizza, fish and chips, lemonade and a mini-pizza as well... Plus, the servers were really nice... Anyway... the point is, Le Madison is better than Fridays or umm idk... coz it's sooooo yummy out there... The sad thing was that we got there like an hour and a half before the mall closes sooo super bummer.... Anyway...

This weekend, we went to Bonifacio High Street... We ate at Claw Daddy... yumm-o!!!! So... we ate ribs AGAIN! wth!? and umm a whole other bunch of barbecued stuff and pasta and their oh so fabulous chocolate cake that was to die for... hahaha... anyway... We have this deal, me and my family that by the end of the year, we would have eaten at all the restos in serendra... Good luck Chelsea.... Anyway... We saw Imelda Marcos at FU!!!! My dad, being the walang hiya type of person, said hi... She said hi back... :D... Then after that I was like, Pa... I am sooo ashamed of you, you who supports the defunct Marcos regime... Hahaha... Kidding... she's sooo nice :) And then we saw Richard and Lucy in Fully Booked...

Naf, we also saw you-know-who in BHS :)

Okay... So... awhile ago... I just saw a picture of what was my plan.... And then, a few moments later, I saw another picture... That one conference I could not go to coz frankly... I just didn't meet the school's standards... So anyway... I'm gonna be frank about this...

When I was a kid, I really wanted to be the best. And I worked hard to be the best. I had the occasional slip-up when I was in grade five and so that slip cost me what I wanted. So then there was high school. I was the best... (is it safe to say that here?? haha...) And then, I had another slip-up... Don't you just love it when you get derailed??? :P...

Then, my hopes became obsolete when I joined the Student Government. Why??? Well, let's just say I uncovered stuff my honor-roll ass wasn't supposed to uncover frankly coz I'd think THEY were the enemy. And I thought so... A few months and blog entries later, I broke down... The dream just melted away... So long was going up that platform and giving that speech I so desperately wanted... It seemed that playing fair to them wasn't even an option (am I that good??? hahaha sorry... just writing with my emotions here people). Then there was that fateful moment. 7:51 pm to be exact. I got in.

I was like... dude... I got into AJSS... O_o YEYEYEYEYYEYEYEYEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was ecstatic!!! Dammit!!! I was one of the top 70 in the philippines... It all didn't matter anymore... :) It was an affirmation in itself... Forget about being praised by my school (whatever my school may be) I was being lauded by the Ateneo!!!! I was soooo ecstatic!!!! Hell yeah... I passed and you guys didn't (I'm reallyyyyy sorry if it sounds soooo mean but I WAS infuriated... I deserve this release :P) okay... calm yourself... sigh... there you go

Anyway.

In AJSS, I learned that it's okay to be stupid. It's okay to enjoy studying (And ADMU was the only time I did enjoy studying). I didn't have to suck up to the teachers... They treated us FAIRLY and saw right through our faces. Don't you just love it when the good ones display their prowess??? [shout out first: ni chang chang zai wo de xin li!!!!!!] So there... I have bragging rights for like... forever =)) Here I go again.. im soooo sorryyyyy.... I learned it I guess from Doc Gus... Hellz yeah! Anyway... there... I love the Justice system in Katipunan... That's why im going there and not in some other university... :P

Now? I guess I kinda feel a little of that sayang thing but I wouldn't change courses if I were to pick. I love who I am now. Okay, so maybe I don't challenge myself (QLC said AJSS isn't challenged in ordinary settings :P So what's there to challenge??? ) but none of this reallyyyy matters. Coz of stepping out of the race I save myself time, effort and most of all *the trouble of having to deal with my conscience... :)

So what am I now? Am I some ex-nerd? (no... coz when you're in AJSS, you will ALWAYS be a nerd =))) Am I a normal person now? Or just some kid blogging? I am an activist... (not in the UP way...ewww... no offense) I am an activist standing up for my Ordo Amoris (HA! Bet you don't know that! Max Scheler will beat YOUR ass! Watch and learn!) I am a leader! (But I think that title is also overrated in my battlefield... I think it's pretty much like a frequent shopper card thing now... as in you earn points and exchange em for something) Scratch that then... I am a TRUE leader! With a heart of silver (not quite gold yet)!

For all I care, I pity you guys... you and your grovelling ways... I bet you've never met Fr. Nebres... =))....
